Abruzzo Wine Academy welcomes international professionals
A prestigious event celebrating Abruzzo’s rich winemaking tradition: the third edition of the Abruzzo Wine Academy.
Conceived by the Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo, this educational initiative brought together experts and wine industry professionals from around the world, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the region’s distinctive wine heritage.
Held from December 1st to 4th, the Academy welcomed sommeliers, journalists, importers, and industry professionals to Abruzzo for an immersive experience combining training sessions, guided tastings, and visits to local wineries.
The initiative involved a selected group of international ambassadors from key markets such as Canada, the United States, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. In particular, 14 participants (10 from the United States and 4 from Canada) were invited within the framework of the “The Charming Taste of Europe” campaign, with the aim of strengthening awareness and promotion of Abruzzo wines in strategic non-EU markets.
Through this programme, participants gained in-depth insight into the identity, quality, and value of Abruzzo wines, becoming ambassadors of their excellence worldwide.
