Abruzzo wines shine with “The Charming Taste of Europe” in New York
On Monday, September 30, 2024, the vibrant city of New York hosted an exceptional event celebrating the renowned wines of Abruzzo, part of the Charming Taste of Europe campaign. Held at the elegant Manhatta venue on Liberty Street, the event offered wine professionals and media an immersive journey into the rich heritage and flavors of Abruzzo wines.
The day began with a masterclass, led by acclaimed Vinous critic Eric Guido. Attendees explored the unique profiles of celebrated Abruzzo varietals, including Cerasuolo, Pecorino, Trebbiano, and the iconic Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, learning about their origins, production techniques, and characteristics.
Following the masterclass, a Trade Walk-Around Tasting provided participants with a rare opportunity to connect directly with more than 20 distinguished producers from Abruzzo. This session allowed industry professionals to engage in one-on-one discussions, discover the stories behind the wines, and experience first-hand the quality and versatility that define Abruzzo’s winemaking tradition.
