Abruzzo Wine Consortium To Continue its Journey in the US With a Series of Events to Showcase its Signature White and Red Wines
The events will be held in New York and Washington D.C.as part of the “The Charming Taste of Europe” campaign.
On October 16th, in Washington, Consorzio Abruzzo seminar and lunch took place. In the rooms of the restaurant RPM Italian (650 K Street NW Washington, D.C. 20001) Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo, in collaboration with I.E.E.M., organized a masterclass presenting 8 wines. The target groups: importers, traders, journalist, media, influencers, opinion makers, sommelier, on and off premises members. The target market reached the whole city of Washington wine world.
The event started with a seminar presenting 8 wines of Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC denomination. The wineries participating at the tasting were, in this order: Famiglia de Cerchio – Torre Zambra, Vini Valori, Cantine Agriverde, Torre dei Beati, Bossanova, Masciarelli, Monti, Fontefico. The labels were presented by the master of wine Caroline Hermann, with the support of the Consortium’s president, Alessandro Nicodemi and Davide Acerra. With the guidance of a power point, Hermann introduced Abruzzo region and talked about this land through its particularities, soils, different kind of grapes and traditions. He guided the guests during the tasting, explaining everything about each label. Afterwards lunch was served in another room, in which the guests could enjoy food mixed with the seminar labels.
